Welcome to the Freedom Riders Homepage Freedom Riders Officers 2009 Spring Opener 100 years of motorcycle in Spokane Wa  2009 penny run 2009 Penny run photos event flyers Stories and just an F.Y.I. Gene Hein Memorial Poker Run

American Diabets Association

On September 12, 2009 the Unchained Brotherhood and Thumpers (a Biker freindly bar) put on a Poker Run in memory of Gene Hein who passed due to complicatons of diabetes, the American Diabetes association was there to help out and inform others that there is help out there if needed.

We left out around 10 AM about 50 strong on a great ride from Spokane to Easy Riders in Post Falls then over to Lone Wolf Harley in CDA. Those that wanted stopped for lunch then over to Lawrence's in CDA, then onto to Harrison, up the back side of Lake CDA thru St Marys onto Worley and back into Thumpers for door prizes and snacks.  The ride was beautiul with just a touch of the coming Fall colors and hot enough to really enjoy the ride. The ride was well organized and the Brotherhood worked on keeping the pack together for the whole ride, keeping the pace slow enough for the green riders but fast enough to keep the rest of us happy.

If you enjoy an early Fall ride through some wonderful country and windy roads then this is a must do ride.
